The 40-year-old Belfast Heavyweight will be fighting for the prestigious title, a belt previously held by heavyweight legend George Foreman in The Odyssey Arena, Belfast on October 27th.If Rogan wins, that would make him Northern Ireland's first ever heavyweight champion of the world. A mammoth task by no means but the Prizefighter winner claims that he is more than ready for the challenge and that he will bring the belt home.

Rogan exclaimed, "I'm excited about bringing this fight to the city and I intend to win for the people of Belfast and beyond," He went on to say "People always mention previous world title fights in the city and it would be nice if people could say they were at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast when we got our first world heavyweight champion."I will be the underdog but I love that and I'm going to do something very, very special on 27 October."

Rogan gets a shot at a world crown even after all the recent controversy about a proposed bout between him and Manchester based British and Commonwealth champion Tyson Fury falling through and also after pulling out of a European Union title fight with unbeaten Bulgarian Kurbrat Pulev in Munich in July.Rogan cited a lack of preparation time as the reason for his withdrawal for that fight but claims that come October 27th he will be in the best shape of his life.

Best of luck to Rogan and we will of course keep you all updated on the story as it progresses here on ProKick.com
