THE BIG FIGHT in MMA - Fedor Emelianenko vs. Andrei Arlovski

Belarusian, Andrei “The Pitbull” Arlovski entered the ring first, donning his usual vampire style black mouth guard emphasized by white painted-on fangs. As he was about to face the most dominant force in MMA Russian Fedor ‘The Last Emperor’ Emelianenko.

Will Arlovski’s technical boxing skills honed by famous boxing trainer Freddie Roach give him an edge against the “flat-footed (according to Roach)” striker Emelianenko? Read on and find out:-

The crowd was on their feet as Emelianenko walked out in his usual calm, collected and no-innocence fashion.

Arlovski looked ripped to bits in great tip-top condition as usual - whilst Fedor Emelianenko was sporting his typical extra bit of weight around his mid-section, complete with love handles and all. Beware, looks can be very deceiving, remember that you young fighters out there!

Arlovski enters with a fight record of 14-5 while Emelianenko is 28-1.

The match was sanctioned by the WAMMA (World Alliance of Mixed Martial Arts). And was for the heavyweight World tilte.

Round One - Fedor landed an overhand right but Arlovski hits back with his own stronger right counterpunch. Emelianenko, not his normal aggressive start as usual as the fight looked like turning into a technical kickboxing match, which would favour Arlovski style.

Fedor landed a cracking right body punch but fell short on a couple of other shots. He clinches with Arlovski in the corner as Fedor defends against a takedown.

The fight is brought back to the centre of the ring as Arlovski lands a soft leg kick. He adds a body punch and then a good right.

Arlovski follows up with a powerful front kick that sends Fedor of balance and on the back foot, and then…

A BIG overhand right from Fedor lands right on the chin of Arlovski, The Belarusian Arlovski, fell face first into the mat and just like that the fight was over!

Emelianenko landed 9 of 24 punches in the fight but the final punch was the only one that mattered in this contest as Emelianenko proved yet again that he is the best MMA heavyweight in the world.

The stoppage came at 3:34 into the first round.

Fedor Emelianenko - received handshakes and well-wishes from Donald Trump and pictures with Trump and De La Hoya for his efforts along with the belt as the MMA world is left to wonder how long it will be until Emelianenko is enticed to make his way to the UFC.
