In the main event, the WMC World Junior Middleweight Title (154 lb) will be at stake as Buakaw Por. Pramuk (197-21-12, Thailand) battles Warren Stevelmans (54-14-4, South Africa) for the prestigious championship. With close to 200 victories to his credit, Por. Pramuk is one of the elder statesmen in Muay Thai and his commitment and consistency to the sport is unmatched. He hails from the birthplace of Muay Thai (Thailand) and plans to give the fans in attendance and watching live on GFL.tv a highlight reel of authentic hard hitting and kicking Muay Thai fighting. His opponent, Stevelmans, is also a grizzled veteran in the sport and will not be intimidated by the living legend that is standing across the ring from him. Both fighters always push the action and look for a knockout but these men have trained their bodies to take an inhuman amount of punishment so fight fans could be in for a real treat if this fight goes the distance. Make no mistake, Buakaw Por. Pramuk and Warren Stevelmans will put on a show that will have the whole sport talking.
In the co-main event, the WMC Intercontinental Junior Middleweight Championship (154 lb) will be on the line as Champion Baxter Humby (39-7, USA) defends his title against Zidov Domenik (55-25, Switzerland). Humby won the title in 2010 and has been on a tear for the last year, but he has never faced an opponent like Domenik who has a very high percentage of knockouts for this sport with 43 of his 55 victories coming by KO. In a sport that requires you to deliver vicious blows to your opponent, nobody does that better than the challenger, Domenik. The champion is in for a dog fight, but Humby should have the crowd at his back as he is fighting in his home country and will look to deliver an impressive victory to what no doubt will be a rabid crowd.
In tournament action, Nathan Corbett (52-2, Australia) fights Tomas Hron (54-14-2, Czech Republic) and Filip Verlinden (37-6-1, Belgium) battles Martin Jahn (40-10) where the winners will advance in the heavyweight division. There are still four more divisions on this card!
