The team met with Mr Sammy Douglas MLA at his office at Stormont for the first round of initial talks about funding for a new state of the art multi-purpose/multi-function gym.
The meeting was brought about by a visit to the ProKick gym back in February 2012. The First Minister, Peter Robinson, made a presentation to four young Black Belt students. Later that year in June 2012 a total of 50 ProKicKers received a tour of the impressive Stormont Parliament Buildings.
Former world champion, Billy Murray, said: “To have our First Minister, Peter Robinson, visit us at ProKick then an invite to Stormont was another thing. Now to have assistance about where and how to find the money to rebuild the ProKick gym - now that is truly inspiring".
He added, "There is a long way to go, we have draft plans in place with a 3D walk-way which will go on our web-site soon showing what we hope to achieve at ProKick".
Further talks will happen later this week.
