Talks have now concluded, so far four fights are under way - we have arranged a headlining bout between ProKick fighter Peter Rusk and Galway based tough-guy Aidan Brooks in a K1 style match-up over 3x3 min rounds.
Brooks is the current IKF European champion and there is signs of him turning professional very soon. This will be a tough match for Rusk but he is extremely confident that he has what it takes to make a name for himself and beat Brooks.
There are a few of his ProKick team mates traveling down alongside the Newtownards based kickboxer and they are Ursula Agnew in a K1 style match over 4x2 rounds with the West-Belfast girl facing Donna Larkin. Agnew lost to Larkin on points in a low-leg kick fight at ProKick's 'New Breed' event which took place on June 26th in Belfast's 5 Star Hilton Hotel.
Two other ProKick fighters were confirmed for the Galway event - first Stefanie McMullen faces Yvonne McNevin under Full-Contact rules over 3x2 rounds.
Amy-Lee Tonner was to have her debut but was injured at work - her Swiss trip on Oct 1st is now in jeopardy.
ProKick's up-n-coming star Karl McBlain was given an opportunity to face tough Black Dragon fighter Galway's Bryan Merrigan in a K1 style clash over 3 rounds. McBlain was to work over the weekend but did not want to pass-up the challenge of facing Merrigan.
It's been a busy year so far for Billy Murray's fight stable and the pace shows no sign of stopping any time soon.
The team are in Switzerland the following week on October 1st when Northern Ireland ProKick Vs A Swiss select then it's back in Dublin on the 8th October then it's 'Fright Night in Belfast on Oct 30th. and if that is not enough there are four more shows back-to-back with two in England, one in France and back then to Switzerland at the end of November.
