29 Year old Ursula Agnew first started training in kickboxing in 2008 at ProKick's Lisburn Leisure Centre class. She became inspired to take up the sport after watching the K1 Grand Prix on Eurosport. She now holds a purple belt in the syllabus side of the sport and trains anywhere up to 5 times a week at the famous ProKick Gym in East Belfast.

After progressing through the first few grades and getting a few fights under her waist, the Beauty Therapist found herself two years later fighting in Japan and going along to watch the K1 Grand Prix in Tokyo with fellow team-mates from the ProKick Gym.

Who would have thought that the girl who started training to improve her fitness and learn more about the sport, just two years later - by watching TV, would be surrounded by the biggest fighters in the world at the event that brought her to kickboxing in the first place.

Ursula is one of the busiest fighters in the ProKick fight stable and has had 3 fights in the space of just 5 weeks. She has just returned home from La Chaux-De-Fonds, Switzerland where she fought a hard K1 style kickboxing bout at an Ireland V Switzerland event. She has now just been invited to compete at an Ireland V USA event in Dublin next week and then fights again on 30th October in Belfast at ProKick's own 'Fright Night' event against a tough Dutch K1 specialist.

Ursula has contended for Irish titles in the past and although some of her recent bouts haven't produced the results she was after, coach Billy Murray is confident that there is far bigger things to come from the Belfast girl and he has high hopes for what she can achieve.

Results and pictures from Ursula's next fight will be posted here on ProKick.com straight after the event. She travels down with fellow ProKick rising star Johnny 'Gas Man' Smith as he takes on Irish champion Daryl Orr in a low-kick kickboxing rules bout.
