Punch: First Minister and Deputy First Minister for Northern Ireland at Stormont
Camera, Ready, and Action! Billy Murray was seen in his acting debut last night as he co/stared in a Cinemagic film, "Punch" - the Movie had it's official launch at Stormont in the Long Gallery, Stormont Buildings on Monday 27th January and was hosted jointly, by the First Minister and Deputy First Minister for Northern Ireland. The star studded event was also to celebrate Cinemagic's successes throughout 2013 and hear of their exciting plans for 2014.
Murray the ProKick head coach and former kickboxing world champion was asked to get involved with the movie which was shot predominantly at ProKick HQ in east Belfast. The movie shows Murray as a boxing coach who helps a troubled teenage girl (played by the amazing Bronagh Pettigrew) gain confidence by standing up for herself by saying STOP to domestic abuse at home.
The short film 'Punch' was well recieved by industries heads at Stormont. The film is set to do the rounds from Belfast to New York and right to movie land in Los Angeles.
