As reported by media sources all over the Netherlands, Mr Ramon Dekkers was cycling in his hometown of Breda in the southern part of the Netherlands.
When he apparently collapsed in a tunnel after feeling dizzy. Bystanders tried to help him until emergency services arrived and attempted to revive him. Unfortunately with no results.
Ramon Dekkers was the first foreign fighter to receive the ‘Fighter of the Year’ award in Thailand. He had over 200 fights and won world titles at many different weights starting at lightweight. He was currently working for Glory as a coach.
Murray said, "He will be sadly missed, so sad. I had the pleasure of meeting Ramon Dekkers a few times and all of us at ProKick wish all his friends and family lots of love at this difficult time." Billy went on to say, "We should all take the time every day or whenever we can to appreciate and validate those close to us as we never know when they will be taken from us."

Ramon the Diamond Dekkers RIP
Another blow to the world of kickboxing - this time it is the UN-timely death of a kickboxing icon. Ramon 'The Diamond' Dekkers passed away yesterday, 27th February 2013, at the young age of 43.
