Ireland’s leading kickboxing promoter and coach Billy Murray has just inked a deal with the rapidly growing broadcaster that will see a host of kickboxing action broadcast in the coming weeks – leading up to a spectacular world title showdown with reigning champion Gary Hamilton on December 1.

The big night of action on December 1, from Belfast’s Waterfront Hall will air on the Setanta Ireland channel the following Thursday from 10pm and will see kickboxing hero Gary Hamilton move up a weight from featherweight to lightweight against English challenger Marty Cox Jnr - a double world champion. It’s a clash of titanic proportions featuring two bold champions, who have held crowns for the past six years.

“This is wonderful for kickboxing in Ireland,” said Murray. “I’m delighted to have struck such a deal with such a respected sports broadcaster. Fight fans are going to love what is coming – we have no less than FIVE world titles up for grabs at the Belfast City council and Schwarzkopf backed event.”
