Stefanie has been training at the world famous ProKick Gym in East Belfast for almost 5 years and first started to improve her fitness and after obtaining a purple belt in the syllabus aspect of the martial arts based contact sport, she decided that she wanted to take the next step in her kickboxing career and enter into the competitive side. Stefanie has always been a very active ProKicker, travelling to many of the team's away events to support the other fighters and when she isn't in the gym training hard, she works as an archaeologist, a physical job in itself.

In April of 2011 she, along with 35 other ProKick novice fighters entered into ProKick head coach and former Four Time World Champion, Billy Murray's 'New Breed' fighter programme. It consisted of 3 months intense training to prepare the novice fighters for their first taste of competitive kickboxing. Out of the 35 that started the intensive training regime, only 10 completed it including Stefanie. She entered the ring in Belfast's Hilton Hotel in June 2011 against another female fighter from Belfast and stopped her opponent just 45 seconds in the opening round.

Since then, the 50kg fighter has had 2 further fights against far more experienced opponents and although she wasn't fortunate enough to walk away with the decisions, the grit and determination that she displayed in the ring is quickly earning her some well deserved respect not only from the ProKick team but from her opponents and the opposing trainers.

Stefanie has been very unlucky and has been involved in some extremely close calls in her last 2 competitive matches but coach Billy Murray insists that there is more to come from her and she will get the wins she so desperately wants.
