Former British and European champ Jess still harbours dreams of world dominance and sees Tarr as an obstacle he will “overcome” on the Fright Night bill. He was on the wrong end of a split decision in his first world title challenge against Jose Oliviera in Portugal.
Jess said: “I am in the process of rebuilding my confidence and my career and I am excited about this opportunity to compete in Belfast against Aubrey. It’s going to be a good dust-up. I like to go forward and Aubrey is a tough, experience fighter who has a great belief in his ability.
“He wouldn’t have taken this fight if he didn’t think he could win – it’s no different to how he felt before he met Gary Hamilton.
Stuart's coach Billy Murray said: “Stuart really wants to get back to his old form. He has an incredible passion for the sport. Aubrey Tarr will not make it easy; I've seen him in many wars and he is confident. This really will be a fight not to miss." Ballysillan man Tarr has almost 100 fights to his name.
Stuart will be joined by Prokick fighters Peter Rusk, Gary Fullerton, Paul Best, David Foster, Karl McBlain, Darren McMullan, Johnny Smith and Ursula Agnew on the October 30th fancy dress bill.
Limited tickets remain and are priced at £20 and £30, along with limited £50 VIP ringside tickets that come with a champagne reception, Fright Night goodie bag and post-fight party invitation.

Stuart Jess To Face Aubrey Tarr
Plasterer Stuart Jess is confident he will cement a fresh start in his kickboxing career when he comes face-to-face with Belfast man Aubrey Tarr in a much-anticipated domestic showdown at the Hilton Hotel on October 30. Saintfield man Jess is aiming to bounce back from a recent defeat to Loic Jeannin in Switzerland while Tarr remains hopeful of challenging for titles again next year despite the battering he received from former world featherweight champion Gary Hamilton earlier this year.
