The pair meet three years ago with Hamilton taking the honours but Ballysillan man Tarr, a Liverpool fanatic, has maintained he was hard done by on that occasion.

"I'm Looking forward to the fight, last time I felt it was a close match." said Tarr "I want to finish my fighting career by rectifying all defeats. I'm ready for revenge Gary, I hope you're ready"
Hamilton Vs Tarr will be one of the main attractions on a 12-fight card on March 17 and both plan to make sure they don’t need the luck of the Irish.

The Belfast-based chef, Hamilton who packed out the Ulster Hall on numerous occasions during a world title reign that started in 2002, will turn 31 in May – and is looking forward to his next competitive bout against Aubrey, albeit to "Silence those disbelievers and doubters that I won the first time."

Hamilton went on to say "There was no question that I won in our last match, but I have heard a few rumours that Aubrey felt he was hard done by when I knocked him down, the old saying is protect yourself at all times whilst in the ring, which he didn't do. I am fighter, what does he want me to do?
He dropped his hands and I punched him. He would have done the same to me.
Hamilton is thankful his career-long coach Billy Murray, the former four-time world champion, has secured him the bout with Tarr next month.

He added: “This is my opportunity to show people – most of all my coach – the old Gary Hamilton is back. I will go out to make an impression and by the end of the year I intend to have made a big impression with a title shot.”

Also on the St Patrick’s Day Bash show is young contender Mark Bird another stylish kickboxer to emerge from Murray’s Prokick Gym. The young Hillsborough fighter won an award in Japan last year for the best technical fighter in the event Northern Ireland V Japan.

Bird will compete in an K1-style International Team event bout against Diego Diserens of Switzerland. For ticket information Click here or call 028 90 656414.
