The ProKick kickboxing team have made history as the gym is the first ever to take a team which will come up against the very best amateur Japanese fighters in Nagoya this Sunday Dec 5th..
Former world champ Billy Murray received the backing from K1 fight legend Mr Ernesto Hoost to select an elite squad for what will be a daunting yet historic trip to the Far East.
" What a chance for those fortunate enough to be with us here on this trip - they will compete this Sunday and then train later next week and those fit enough there will may be another chance of a second bout ( more on the later) and as we're here to compete in the home of K1 - the team will also have the chance as spectators to take-in the World Grand Prix K1 final.
The lucky 15 are: Ursula Agnew, Greig Anderson, Andrew McCreary, Mark Bird,Davy Foster, Gary Fullerton,Karl McBlain, Michael O'Neil, Johnny Smith, Michael Swann, Chris McCosker,Ernest Bickerstaff, Nuala Ward,Adele Robinson and Billy Murray

The Mighty ProKick have landed
Battle worn with travel and feed and watered the team are feel ready for tomorrow's big event in Nagoya. It took 24 hours from leaving their homes in Northern Ireland to hitting the hotel in Tokyo. The ProKick Gym members have planned this trip of a lifetime and now are just hours away of climbing into the ring to compete under full K1 rules in Land of the Rising Sun, Japan.
