Both men met in Dundalk which is half way for both – and in the middle they rattled out a deal to work together on an event for the National stadium Ringside club, Dublin on October 4th.
Billy Murray will take a team of ten fighters from the celebrated ProKick Gym to compete against a Joe Canning’s IKF (Irish Kickboxing Federation) select.
The kickboxing dinosaurs discussed a way forward on the rules so that both associations could compete with each other.......after just an hour - THE DEAL WAS DONE

Kickboxing in Ireland took another giant leap forward as two of its main players met in middle ground - President Joe Cannings IKF (Irish Kickboxing Federation) drove from Dublin in the south of Ireland whilst his counterpart in the North, Belfast’s Billy Murray the ProKick founder and a WKN (World Kickboxing Network) world Director came from Belfast.
