Hi
Many Congratulations to Carl on his convincing win last night at the Titanic Quarter in Belfast over Kiko Martinez to take the IBF World Super Bantamweight Title, the ref score cards gave it 119-108, 119-108 and 118-111 to Carl, it doesn’t get much more convincing than that.
Team Mc Guigan - Frampton must be ecstatic at the accomplishment and the realisation of a dream, to win the World Title in Belfast against such a great champion in so convincing a manner , it’s Roy of the Rovers stuff.
Many Congrats also to Kiko Martinez , he fought his heart out, he went down like a true Champion, he made Frampton fight all the way for 12 rounds of unrelenting pressure, even when he was hurt and down in the 5th, he got back up and came forward again , he did this the whole fight, again in the 11th another bad round for Martinez he weathered the storm and came back at Frampton, the score cards do not reflect Martinez’s courage and determination to hold onto his crown. A lot of rubbish has been said in the past about Martinez being afraid of Frampton and avoiding him etc etc. let me tell you that wee man fears no one.
Last night in Belfast’s Titanic Quarter was a very special occasion , it was a titanic clash , a World Title dust up between a great champion and a great challenger, none of them would give an inch and in the end it’s a shame there had to be a loser. Respect.
