Jon Jones scored early with a well timed leg kick followed shortly by a full turning kick. Matyushenko attacked with punches which Jones ducked and countered with a take down. Quickly mounting into the crucifix position, he dealt Vladimir punishing elbows in which Vladdy had no answer for.
Herb Dean stopped the fight at 1:52 by TKO. This now puts Jones in a fantastic position to get a top ten fighter for his next opponent. Start believing the hype as Jon "Bones" Jones is the new breed of MMA fighter.

Yushin Okami got the split decision win over Mark Munoz with the deciding factor surely being Okami's excellent takedown defence. Takanori Gomi excited fans by knocking out the replacement Tyson Griffin. Gomi was elated with the KO and told spectators that he's now got the hang of fighting americans. By that I think we can expect him to mount a serious challenge for the belt.
