London, England (UK) – It was over five years since the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was in London and this time they were back in style with a fight card to suit everyone. UFC is now one of the worlds most exciting sporting events and sold out London’s O2 arena on Saturday June 7.

K1 Legend Ernesto Hoost helped, Hardonk train for the fight which he won by TKO in the 2nd round. Hardonk training has been split between Los Angeles and in Amsterdam. The first two months where in in LA, there he focused mainly on wrestling and jiu-jitsu. The last month of his training was in Amsterdam with Ernesto Hoost to help add kickboxing to the routine and to climatise to Europe.

Antoni Hardonk started training kickboxing at the age of 16 after seeing some of the famous Dutch kickboxers such as Ernesto Hoost and Rob Kaman. He got interested in MMA and jiu-jitsu after seeing Royce Gracie win the first few UFC events and started training with Rickson Gracie five years ago. 

Antoni Hardonk said; “I think the UFC is the future of sports and MMA and I was very happy to be a part of it.”
