<p><img src="https://prokickarchive.com/uploaded/general/prokickLogo.gif" /></p> <p>Sad news in the kickboxing world this week as legendary kickboxing coach Jan Plas, the founder of the Mejiro Gym in the Netherlands committed suicide. Jan Plas was aged 65, he was a pioneer of the sport in Holland, probably best known as the trainer of many top K1 fighters. Plas founded the Mejiro Gym in 1978 after many trips to Japan to study kickboxing with Kenji Kurosaki.
