Driven by the inexhaustible commitment and enthusiasm of Belfast’s charismatic Billy Murray, Northern Ireland grew into the European hub of kickboxing. And at the same time it became the driving force in a pan-European peace initiative, launched in tandem with UNICEF, it continued to make inroads with major broadcasters and also pricked the interest of the Queen.
