Karl McBlain was to face Sam Ward of London - both young fighters came face to face at the weigh-in. However at the pre-fight medical the young Belfast fighter was not allowed to take part. The east Belfast man was advise or rather not permitted to take part until he had the all clear from a specialist - apparently he has a mummer or what the doctor said his heart skipped a beat.... and he was out! Karl was devastated, it's safety and heath first though.

His mother stated later on the fight-night that his doctor knowns about it and that he was born with it and there is no danger - this most be the case as his doctor had supplied a fit to fight letter in the past...Karl is currently attending his Doctor and awaiting the all clear to compete, he will not compete until the scare is settle and rectified.

Sam Ward then faced Stuart Jess as Jamie Bays was ruled out on the day with sickness.

The battle of St Patrick's Day Bash is here all the fighters have been Weigh-in and now are ready for some food - Irish North and South, Scottish, English and Swiss will be in the ring in a few hours time.

The battle of Belfast is one step closer as the the two giants Tarr and Hamilton hit the scales at the Holiday Inn hotel yesterday. T
