Prokick Grading Day - IMAGE
Sunday is traditionally a day of rest. Aroma's of succulent roast beef and gravy with butter smothered roasties...but not at the ProKick gym. Today a mixture of aromas encircled the gym. That of nerves, sweat and determination as hoarde of new kickboxing students tested their mettle and showcased their skills all wanting to move-up another level to the kickboxing ladder of excellence
A grading is when KickBoxing students, non-contact and contact, are assessed through a series of levels / grades, with the base level being White Belt, through ten levels, finally reaching a Dan grade at black belt, which is equivalent, if you like, to a degree level in KickBoxing. This type of achievement would take, on average, between six and eight years.
If you are an advance up a level and obtained your yellow or orange belt on Sunday 10th April then your new class times are are as follows:
Monday -
6.45pm – 7.30pm - Yellow belt - new and old are in the slot
7.30pm – 8.15pm - Orange Belts - new and old Class
8.15pm – 9.00pm – Advance beginners class if you have not graded and have finished your 6 weeks course
Also - Friday6.00pm – 7.00pm - is for new Yellow and Orange belts.
Special thanks to Black Belts Mr Paul Gordon and Adrian Murphy for their assistance at the grading
