Ursula Agnew In Action - IMAGE
Kickboxing at the Hilton hotel in Belfast took place on June 26th as over 20 ProKick fighters stepped into the ring to face opponents from all over Ireland. The bulk of the fight card was filled up with ProKick's first time fighters and although not everyone walked away with the win they so desperately wanted, the fight fans were not disappointed as each and every fighter gave it everything they had. A massive well done to all who fought on the show.
The last of the 'Ladykiller' bouts was between two more experienced fighters, Ursula Agnew from ProKick in Belfast and Donna Larkin from Black Dragon Gym, Galway. The two experienced ladies went toe to toe for 3 hard rounds of low kick kickboxing action. The shots from both ladies were very well placed and there was a fantastic display of low-kick kickboxing techniques but the countering ability and agression was more so shown from the Galwegian Larkin and the judges had no other choice but to score the bout in favour of the away fighter. Agnew, although a little more technical in her display didn't show the usual aggression and forward movement that we have come to know her for but we're sure both ladies will use this experience in their own way and both come back even stronger.
