Kickboxing star Ian Young has trained for an 8 man Oriental rules tournament in Portugal TONIGHT Saturday 4th July. Young, a former football star won an amateur WKN world kickboxing crown back in December 2008 at the Waterfront hall. The tournament is similar to the boxing prize fighter which has gripped the UK and for martial arts fans the same as the K1 style.
Could it be a case of third time lucky for brave Stuart Jess. The Saintfield sledgehammer has failed in two attempts to claim the amateur world Full-Contact title - at the KICKmas event last December and more recently at the Bask ‘n’ Mash last March - this time he is in Portugal for a rematch with World Champion Paolo Oliveira and both weighed-in bang on the limit last night..
