Day 5 - Final day of Boot Camp, it was much of the same, an intense workout so early in the morning. Timed sprints where on the agenda, one problem though - if the kickboxers didn't beat their times from the start of the week they had to run between 3 or 5 laps. The upside was that the majority beat their times, some by just seconds however top scorer was Jim Weir who beat his time by taking 30 seconds from his original time 4 days earlier.
Downside today nine ProKickers missed the final Boot Camp. Good thing for the club though but not for them as fines are incurred.
Well done to all who took part. Our next boot camp starts Monday 25th, book your place now.
Day 4 - Penultimate day of this weeks Boot Camp - there was four on the missing list and one late... Mr McGreevy our blogger. Today was the toughest one to-date the camp started very light with a little stretching then it was non-stop action, that much that police and Fire Brigade blocked off roads in and out around the gym. Check out Alex McGreevy's blog.
Day 3 - Day three in the sweat house and it was all thanks to THE GAS MAN why it was so hot! ...here's Johnny, it was his fault the gym was so warm today as the fitness mad fanatics continued. 31 in attendance but 4 missing.
Day 2 - at Boot Camp - It was the 2nd day of Billy's Boot Camp - no one late, three missing and three new kickers total 33
Day 1 - Prokick Kickboxing club's latest wannabe fighters and fitness mad kickboxers hit the streets of Belfast in the dark, chilling, winds and wet morning. The second day was a suspected easy one with floor work circuit training, shadow-boxing and finishing with timed sprints.
6am in the not-so-bright open air; this is the type of thing that needs to be done if you want to become super FIT or compete in the ring.
The boot camp will run from Monday-to-Friday. Boot Camp will run week-on-week-off and will resume on Monday Jan 25th Jan
If you miss your weekly classes after attending the boot camp there will be a £5 penalty incurred. This is additional training and is not intended as a substitute for your normal classes.
We promise – by the end of a Boot Camp week you will feel invincible. You will wonder why others around you can be so gloom.
Billy's Boot Camp started Monday 11th Jan 2010

Day 4 - I’ve let my self down, i was a no show. I made first 3 mornings, went to sparring class last night, that burnt me out, i was shattered, collapsed on sofa when got home. Day 1 was the first time in 18 months i’ve been to Prokick, i’ve been getting it very tight but have pushed on, i love how good you feel after training. Unfortunately today i woke up at 5.00am hit snooze button, next thing i woke up looked at clock, 6.20. No good! Its now lunch time and i’m still annoyed at my self. I will do a run tonight.

Sir i reckon Johnny secretly caused that gas leak at dundela to get out of class…
Lets hope we have no firemen looking an excuse then.
Todays Class was hard, hard, hard….
gimmie sea sickness and fish guts anyday…
Thankyou again Mr Murray and Mr Masterson for yet again making us realise that we always have that extra situp or pressup left in us when we feel we dont.
