McMullan will face German Champion Wachs for second time
Darren McMullan gets his revenge fight he so craves for and it's all going to happen in Greifswald, Germany this Saturday night. McMullan lost his WKN European amateur K1 middleweight title on the 17th November 2012 in Rostock, Germany. Every since loosing his title under controversial circumstances to David Wachs. Coach, Billy Murray put a request to the WKN world office for an immediate rematch to be held. And finally it is on! STOP NEWS: Alex Ciocoi will now fight alongside team mate in Germany....
Well fight-fans, after a lot of toing and froing and nearly 18 months later, it's on! But back in Germany and it will happen on May 3rd.
Former world champion and Darren's coach Billy Murray said today, April 15th 2014:
"We tried to have the fight back in Belfast, we offered three different dates. and none of them suited the German team. I really don't care where Darren will fight to get a chance to win back his title. I'm just so happy for Darren that he has the chance to right a wrong."
Prokick Alex Ciocoi is in big title hunt as he now tops the bill in Greifswald, Germany

Hi
Great news, it’s taken the WKN long enough to get this matter sorted , I can understand David Wachs reluctance to come to Belfast to defend his title, he is the Champion and that is his prerogative.
So, just so there is no controversy this time around, knock him out Darren, no arguments then, no partisan judges decisions, just knock him out, take him out on his own turf, you’re certainly good enough to do it and he knows it, that’s why he has been avoiding you. Bring your European Title and Belt back home. Regards.
