Jess was to face Jamie Bays, a champion from London for the WKN British Full-Contact title at the super-welterweight division, at the Pro-Kick Thai-Tanic event on June 10th at the Holiday Inn in Belfast.
Stuart was unavailable to comment today but his coach Billy Murray had this to say: “I’m gutted for Stuart! He's been on a winning streak and looked really powerful in sparring. He's had a lot of set-backs in his 35 fight career as a kickboxer, so I've no doubt he'll bounce back from this with ease".
Meanwhile, the show goes on as Belfast relives the wonderful 100 year-old story of the Titanic - the greatest ship of them all. The top Irish kickboxing stars will be adding to the occasion with a spectacular Thai-Tanic event of their own. The Thai-Tanic event is supported by the Holiday Inn and sponsored by Schwarzkopf International. To date there are SIX BIG titles on the line: 4 European and 2 British crowns will be contested for.
