Some of the ProKick members who took part in the fundraising Sparathon at the ProKick gym
The Chosen Few
No Sunday lunch for the chosen few as a group of die-hards went without the traditional Sunday din-dins to take part in a sparathon at the ProKick Gym to raise funds for Stuart Jess’ title tilt this Friday.
The Sunday afternoon event billed as a ‘Sparring day of FUN’ was exactly that it was all about the fun side of the sport.
Absolutely no injuries with no one hurt but everyone had the pure fun.
Tickets for the Bash 'n' Mash are still available from the ProKick Gym call 028 9065 1074 or e info@ProKick.com

Additional report:
ok i’ll stop blabbing here…
ok today Stuart seemed to be buzzing about, and really does seem on top of his game, he seems super fit and is definatly ready to face Paolo Oliveira on friday..
Paolo had better be ready for this guy, he has a strong punch and a super fast kick…a few times stuart could have had me on the deck with this fast low sweeping kick, and no doubt on my way down i would have had a bit of help by way of stuarts left jab..
Gary was too busy smiling as he punched and kicked my poor little body…he seems to relish the ring like its his second home…and the crazy thing is, i loved it too..
Gary fullerton had so many opportunties to wipe me out, and thankfully i was not a real opponent otherwise the ring floor would have had me kissing it quite quickly.
but what a chance to really have a good fun, energising yet confidence building day…
thanks to everyone involved and if your hurting now, it was me, but so quick you didnt know it…
Cheers guys

+++++STOP PRESS +++++STOP PRESS++++
Today The Blogenator aka Mark winter the yellow belt prokicker entered the ring with soon to be world champion Stuart Jess, and 2 other fighters…Gary Hamilton (Current Mauy Thai World Champiom)and Gary Fullerton…and had a Brill day and glad he never missed such an opportuntiy..++++++++++++++++++++
Were were you all, you missed such a fun day, it was not the usual gruelling exercise, it was a fun filled sparring day, and even Our own Nadine was in the ring and took on everyone going…at one stage i think she was gonna turn on fran and brook…no one was safe….well done Nadine
Lisa showed up and launched her attack on the 3 in the ring too, then moved onto Mr Murray…gladly she took it easier on me..
Andrew came down from lisburn and although he likes to go for, it was great..a right wee fighter in the making there…thankfully the knee strike he made was held back otherwise id be still in pain…
We also met Billys brother in law and had a little bit of info on why he was in a wheelchair..mainly though the dreaded cigarettes was the answer..so cut em out if you do em..
i did and im never looking back..
Stuart was able to build up some well needed funding as he himself needs to pay for his expenses including his opponents stay here..thats the way it goes…and it just shows that these guys are doing this out of a pure passion for their sport..theres no big payoff, sponsorship deals or telly deals, boxing this aint…
The shows loyal sponsor Brendan Thompson from Schwarzkopf was there to show his full support and to have a few fun rounds in the ring…
pity you all missed such an amazing opportunity here, im hoping to buy a few of the pictures of me in their with them going at it, and of course the one were your great Coach, Mr Murray gets hit by me…................
ok he let me do it then…....................
give me something pleaseeeee.

And what a fun day it was!
Mr Murray instructed everyone not to hit me - he said I was too pretty to get hit , so I had the privilege of beating everyone up. Terrible job but someone had to do it!! You could tell from their faces that they were dying to hit back but I must say they were true gentlemen from start to finish - with the exception of Mr Murray - so I had to give him a few right hook’s to the chin and if you don’t beleive me Fran has the photographic proof!!
Seriously though, I had a great time everyone and thanks for going very very easy on me! All the very best for Friday, I’m really looking forward to it and will be cheering you on all the way
