A great day for all the pro kick team. Brilliant atmosphere all round. Especially proud and in awe of my fab friend Cathy. She has worked SO hard to achieve her dream… and there’s much more to come! All this alongside running a Karate club, doing her day job and encouraging others to embrace a healthy lifestyle! One of the most selfless people I know! A huge congratulations to the whole pro kick team!

What a super afternoons kickboxing we were treated to. For me I could feel the tension brewing between the four girls who weighed in, in the wee small hours of Sunday morning. The glances across the room, sizing up their opposition!
I couldn’t help recall the fantastic atmosphere of the Lords of the ring event in the Ulster Hall and I did think that it would be hard to match it. How wrong was I…..
A fantastic lineup of kickboxing exponents at varying levels of experience, from near and afar, gave all us fight fans an exciting afternoon. I was pleased to see that every seat was still full for the last battle, which saw my sister Cathy win the European Title in emphatic style. Her opponent was a tough girl who absorbed everything that came her way, but for me Cathy was just too skilful, focused and determined that a loss or a draw was not going to be the outcome for her.
Thank you to Billy for all your hard work in making the fight and organising a super event that was affordable for the masses. It was great to see how much more accomplished and confident Cathy was on Sunday. I reckon it won’t be too long a wait before we will need to add another discipline to the “Karate Queen” mantle.
Rant over….

What a night it was, your dedication to your sport and Bill Murray you had the crowd bringing down the house and you name was echoing through the rafters. Great fight and then to victory I could not be more pleased as you so deserved this title. I shall never forget the feeling of the room it was electric, thrilled to see you taking the title. Well deserved Champion. Congratulations Cathy

Had an amazing night ! What a great event and atmosphere in the Holiday Inn. Some cheering going on and excitement .the whole night…. My heart was in my mouth when my daughter Catherine was coming out , so nervous for her and worried she would get hurt. I hadn’t seen here in months and anytime she called she was training , training , training….. So pleased to see hard work paid off . There will be no stoping her now as so committed and determined. I don’t know how she fits it all in and does so much with work, coaching and helping others..Catherine always tells me “mum you find time when you want to and enjoy it so much ” .... True Inspiration ... Excellent event Mr Billy Murray and looking forward to the next one.
