It will be no Swiss Rollover
Two
of Prokick’s fighters Phillip Parker and Bill Morrow will
represent Northern Ireland in a multi national games in Geneva tonight
(2nd Dec). The games are held at the start of December every year
and the local Swiss promoter Carl Emery who is a regular visitor
at the events in Belfast contacted Billy Murray for help as two
fighters pull out due to sickness. Competitors from France, Germany,
Switzerland, Belgium, Spain, and Canada will all take part.
“The two boys are in training for the ‘Kickmas Box”
said Billy Murray their coach. “This is the perfect preparation
for them. They both jumped at the chance to have their International
debut away from home and especially to represent their country”.
World Champion Gary Hamilton who normally takes part in the games
is staying at home to concentrate on his preparation for his final
featherweight world title clash on December 17th. Hamilton said,
“the boys will love it in Geneva the hospitality is fantastic
and they’ll get a great reception. This is the perfect stepping
stone for them, Geneva is where I cut my back teeth on the international
circuit”.
