French whirlwind Mohammad Samir blew into Belfast last night (December 15) ahead of his crunch world title kickboxing defence in the city on Friday.

The Light-welterweight, considered by many to be the best pound for pound kickboxer in the world, faces Belgian Damien Velvelidis at the Ulster Hall onthe second annual Kickmas Box card. The small fighter with the incredible record – 100 fights, 100 wins as both an amateur and professional - headed straight for a meeting with Belfast’s own world champion Gary Hamilton. The two will share top billing at the Kickmas Box, but there’s no love lost between them. Hamilton is moving up from his featherweight division in order to fix a meeting between him and Samir. The incredible encounter could come together by next summer.
