In 2003, Northern Ireland was
established as the Mecca of Kickboxing in Europe – we're just

champion who trained under Peter Foley from the Black Dragon group
based in Galway. Ken was in Belfast for sparring with members of
the the gym ahead of his next big match.
2004
will kick off with an explosive show-down in Kilkenny.
The first major WKN event of the year will see world amateur middleweight
champion Ruairi ‘Boom Boom’ Burke turn professional

Gael’s sports Hall on February 15. Ken said, "My coach
Mr, Foley called the ProKick HQ to organise some alternative sparring,
we decided there's only one place to go and that's the Prokick gym.
I had a great day, I was made to feel very welcome and got exactly
what I needed and I am looking forward to many more trip up north
in the coming weeks before my big fight with the World champion,
Burke."
"This is Ruairi’s final
fight as an amateur and he’s going to give it his all,”
said promoter Paul Cummins. “Ruairi is world champ and Ken,
who is from Galway, is the main contender. Ken has been proved unstoppable
