What Is The
Next Generation
The Next Generation is an event that allows first-time fighters
and little-experienced novices the chance to gain vital ring experience.
It allows amateurs who are taking the initial step into the ring
to be matched with fighters at their level, getting rid of mismatches
that could put promising fighters off a long ring career. It is
a professionally run, safe show that provides a great environment
for families to come along and watch and become involved in kickboxing.
It’s part of a series of similar events that ProKick has been
running in recent years. Fighters who show willingness and ability
can then make the step to bigger events - basically it’s the
quest for new stars.
When does it happen?
The next leg takes place at Belfast’s Park Avenue Hotel on
September 25. It’s an all-day family show so doors open at
2.30pm with the first fight at 3pm. The last bout will finish by
7.30pm.
How long will each of the
fights last?
All fights will be 2x2 minute rounds or 3x1.5, depending on length
of time in training.
All fighters will be matched fairly and the whole event will governed
under the WKN rules.
How do I become involved?
If you are a member of ProKick and want to move from training to
competitive action, simply speak to your coach. If you are a coach
or member of another gym, get in touch with ProKick on -
028 9065 1074 or by emailing prokick@group.tm
with all your details.
The show is open to all fighters across Ireland and beyond.
There will be 30 fights on the card so ProKick will be able to match
your weight and ability.
