The man in the middle - Chris Christodoulou
NEW WKN promoter Chris Christodoulou
had great success promoting his first WKN show in Paphos Cyprus last week.
He had four top class bouts on the card along with a conventional boxing bout. Christodoulou has now made a big impact with the WKN President Stephane Cabrera who was at ringside for the first WKN meeting in Cyprus.

Here is a breif report:
WKN Amateur EUROPEAN title LOWKICK KICKBOXING RULES -72,600 kg
Andrew hits hard with a kick Andrew GRIMASON ( NORTHERN IRELAND ) vs Dima WEIMER ( GERMANY )

Dima WEIMER of Germany won the WKN low-leg kickboxing title in the second round over Belfast's Andrew Griamson, WEIMER was in great form as he dropped the Belfast man in the first round with a left hook. Grimason was on his feet right away but the kicking power from the Hamburg Man was too much for Grimason.

Young a winner
Up and coming former football star Ian Young must have thought he was back in the game of two halves at the weekend, instead of kicking his way up the European kickboxing ladder.

Bout number twoYoung, who won two Irish Premier League titles with Linfield and enjoyed stints at Crusaders and Carrick Rangers before quitting football for a career between the ropes, he achieved a unique and remarkable feat in Cyprus on Monday – fighting twice on the same bill as one of his team mate was forced out with a leg injury just minutes before the fight!.
First bout: Vasilis Krikelas pushed the Northern Irish fighter to the end, Young took the fight on the judges cards. Young stepped in to fill a void left by injured Prokick team-mate Bill Morrow, and volunteered to meet another Greek, Chris Giorgy an up-comoing star in Cyprus.

Hennessy just lost on pointsMark Hennessy was up against tough German Marcel TRATNIK in a low leg kickboxing bout. It was a very close fight for the whole four rounds but Marcel did just enough to take the nod from the judges.

Well done to Mr Chris Christodoulou and all who helped to make this first WKN event a susscuss at the 5-star Venus Resort in Paphos. Mr Chris Christodoulou be in Belfast with one of his fighters at the KICKmas event on the 19 December.
