PARK AVE WAS INVADED BY KICKBOXING MAD KIDS
THE TENTH 'Prokick Says' fun day for
kickboxing mad kids hit the Park Avenue hotel at the
weekend The success of the monthly event gets bigger every time
with technical levels of the children going from strength to strength.
The special children events are growing at such a rate a bigger
venue was needed. The Park Ave hotel has been a practice ground
for most of the best fighters ever to come out of this country –
and the Kids were really excited about competing in the same venue
as past and present ProKick world champions.
' Reverse roll as fight fans ' – all our current champions
were out in force to honour the kids as they have supported them
over the years.
“This is brilliant for the kids as everyone is a winner and
everyone went home with a certificate to commemorate the day. It’s
important to us at Prokick that children learn about self-discipline,
self-defence and grow up in a respected and disciplined environment.
The gym’s motto is Truth, Discipline and Respect.” Said
Ian Young Gun who won a Celtic title at the Park Ave last June .
"We headed to the Park Avenue hotel last weekend as part of
our fundraising campaign to take the Prokick Kids to Villars in
Switzerland next month on November 4th.” Said Murray. "The
event was a free event with everyone giving up their time to help
make the event a success, a big up to the Park Ave for giving us
the hall for free – there was no cover charge at the door
but donations from the ballot raised £375 toward the trip."
A special thank you goes to Ian
Young for organising a brilliant item that was put up for auction,
it was a Northern Ireland shirt signed by the team who beat Spain.
The shirt was auctioned for £300 and was bought by Prokick
member William Mahood. For more information on kickboxing call 028
