When it comes to fashion the Irish are usually left standing by the Italians – lets hope that won’t be the case next Friday night when Mark Hennessy, Gary Hamilton and Ian Young (pictured) with Karma Manager Lee Madden meet their opponents in the ring. When it comes to fashion the Irish are usually left standing by the Italians. But these three sharp-suited Belfast men - Mark Hennessy, Gary Hamilton and Ian Young (pictured) - are hoping the (upper)-cut of their gib will prove too much for their Latin opponents next week. The trio are the bill-topping stars of The Italian Job II, a blue-chip kickboxing show set for Belfast’s Park Avenue Hotel on June 15. The event will see a Northern Irish team take on the best that Italy has to offer in a night that will see three European titles up for grabs on a nine bout bill. World champion Hamilton will be the star attraction in a five round non title Thai-style contest. Following the high octane bouts, there will be an exclusive after-show party at the new Karma night-club at the city’s Holiday Inn. Karma will sponsor the Italian Job event. Manager Lee Madden, who is also pictured here, said: “Karma is proud to be associated with the fight-night. We have worked with promoter Billy Murray’s Prokick group in the past and will continue to help them in the future in any way we can. “Their events bring a lot of profile and business to our city. Belfast has a lot to offer as people travelling here are finding out.”
