“Northern Ireland Vs Germany"

It’s Germany calling for a team of Ireland’s best kickboxers later this month, as 15 of the best take on a German select in Hamburg.

World champiion Gary Hamilton as well as football star turned kickboxer Ian Young, will head the team which will be hoping for major successes in the German city on May 19.

“Northern Ireland has long been recognised as the centre of European kickboxing, in terms of quality of the athletes involved, the technical ability and the sheer volume of champions, the majority of whom come from my ProKick Gym, I’m proud to admit,” said former four time world champion Billy Murray. “We were delighted to be asked to put together a team for this event as Germany is producing a new breed of would-be champions. Of all the other European nations, they are closest to us so it will be tough series of bouts. My team will be ready.”
