Hamilton on Kings Hall card - December 1st

/hamilton inaction at his last bout in the Park Avenue hotelNorthern Ireland’s most famous reigning kickboxing champion Gary Hamilton has made good on his promise to concentrate on boxing for a time with the news of a Kings Hall bout.
The south Belfast WKN featherweight will appear in a non-title six rounder at the December 1 show. He will be on the undercard to veteran Wayne McCullough as he prepares to re-launch his career.
It will be Hamilton’s first competitive bout – in either discipline – since he narrowly missed lifting the Northern Ireland light welterweight professional boxing title in Belfast last month. On that occasion he ran the experienced Jamesy Gorman close, though went down on points. But he vowed to concentrate for a time on boxing – even if it meant handing back his world kickboxing crown.
“He can’t wait to get back into a ring to show what he can do,” said Coach Billy Murray. “Gary is much better boxer than before the Gorman fight. He’s incredibly fit, ring smart and agile – but lacked experience as a boxer. He got some of that against Gorman and gains more and more every time he spars.
“A shot at a bout in the Kings Hall is one that has him very excited. There’ll be a load of Gary’s kickboxing fans heading to the arena to see their boy fight. And this time he’ll win.”
