Billy Murray’s world famous kickboxing school of excellence played host to a boxing team from the Chinese colony who are set to join forces with the PSNI for a historic clash against an Irish select in Newforge this Friday. And in a bid to pick up some local knowledge, they visited Billy Murray’s kickboxing, ProKick Gym in east Belfast. When there yesterday (Tuesday) they watched ProKick gym members training. The ProKick men are getting ready for the hugely anticipated Brawl On The Wall kickboxing event in Derry City’s Millennium Forum later this month.

“We’re honoured to have the visiting team come to see us,” said Murray. “We have a good reputation with the martial arts fraternity in that part of the world and there is a lot of cross discipline movement there between kickboxing and boxing, so I suppose its natural that they’d look us up on the trip. My team presented the visitors with Prokick booklets, gloves and focus pads which they were really taken back by our hospitality.”
