Poor
Day - TKO’D
Paul Day has told ForKick’s his competitive career could be
in doubt. As we released in June the pro/am featherweight intercontinental
champion was forced to pull out of Kickboxing Mania VI when he severed
tendons under his kneecap after an awkward fall during a routine jog
in preparation for the event.
At the time doctors told him it could be up to six weeks before he
could be back to full training. However specialist’s advised
him this week it will be no less than nine months before they recommend
he gets back in the ring. Even then he may only have up to sixty percent
of his original strength.
Paul hasn’t yet made a decision about his future but said he
will keep up light training in the hope his knee returns to full strength.
