ProKick Summit

Some of the prokick group meeting at the Ulster Hall - The prokick Summit Over 250 members of the ProKick Group of Kickboxing Gyms gathered in Belfast at the weekend for a unique meet and greet.
The sports men and women set a new record during the Ulster Hall summit. It was the largest number of kickboxers ever gathered out of competition in British history. The collection saw representatives from all 15 of ProKick’s clubs Province-wide meet for a seminar on ProKick’s plans for 2004.
“It was great to see so many faces from our many gyms,” said ProKick founder Billy Murray. “Kickboxing has had an incredible year in 2003. Events in Belfast have been beamed live to millions across Europe and the sport is growing into one of the largest participation sports in Ireland. We have had several hundred new members this year alone. I think because of the attention to fun, fitness and safety at the ProKick Group, we are leading the way for the sport.”
ProKick’s two biggest stars, World Champions Gary Hamilton and Gary Noade, share top billing at the Ulster Hall in December at the Kickmas Box extravaganza.
The event, billed as a festive feast of fist and feet, will round ProKick’s triumphant year off in spectacular fashion. Rising stars such as ‘Belfast Express’ Andrew Grimason and Lydia ‘Pocket Dragon’ Braniff will also take to the ring.
Tickets, £15 - £25 ringside, are available through ProKick and affiliated gyms, or by calling 02890651074. They are also available from the Ulster Hall box office 02890 323900.
