There was a good turn-out with ProKick members at new fighters meeting - 20 wannabe fighters turned out on Thursday night to take their training to the next level.. ProKick head coach Billy Murray ran through some of the details of what to expect, the training regime and a lot more about what life is like when training at a competitive level. He also spoke about the positives and negatives about stepping into the ring for the first time.
The new wannabe fighters will start a 3 month intensive training programme beginning this Saturday the 18th Jan. The event will be staged in April. (The venue and actual date of the event are pending but keep an eye on the ProKick site for the details.)

Hi
Good to see the new breed up early and training hard for Aprils fight card, if you have time in between sparring and sprinting spare a thought for a young MMA fighter in Ohio, USA, Joe Fisher, Joe lost a fight in a local small hall fight card, his opponent put him in a stranglehold and put him to sleep, NO, it’s not a sad story, it’s funny, but not for young Joe, you see, his Mum was in the audience and got into the ring to sort things out, check her wee son was OK, embarrassing or what, I guess that’s parents for you, I loved the story, you can see it and the video on Mail on Line Sport, so, moral of the story, no Mums at your debut fight, lest you may suffer the same fate as poor Joe. Keep up the good work. See you tonight at Strength and Conditioning class.Regards.

Hi
For those of you at Pro Kick who do not have BT Sport, tune into Channel 5 this Sat 8th March at 9pm, a great night of UFC MMA fights from the O2 in London is scheduled, not normally on terrestrial TV so try not to miss it, Gustafsson v Manuwa is top of bill, should be a cracker.
I have seen you all training hard for the upcoming fight night, keep it up you are all doing well and the future of Team Pro Kick looks to be in safe hands, oh and it pays to keep Mr Murray happy, Regards.
