A WEEKEND OF KICKBOXING MANIA ON -
SETANTA SPORTS TV

SETANTA SPORTS, the network behind Irish soccer’s successful Setanta Cup tournament, has kicked off a different kind this winter.
Check out Setanta Ireland and the UK for the best deals available. The channel has forged a link-up with Belfast’s busy-bee promoter Billy Murray to launch a schedule of kickboxing shows in the build-up to Gary Hamilton’s world title showdown with Mohammad Samir at the Ulster Hall on December 19.
The first of series of Murray’s shows packed a punch on October 24 and Setanta is running fights every night.
“Setanta Sports is delighted to showcase the best Irish fighters in action against top international opponents in championship bouts. Our coverage will also give viewers the chance to watch some of the best kickboxers in the world today, including the world’s top fighter, Mohammed Samir of France”, said Setanta Sports Director of Marketing, Eleanor Collier.

Friday 28th October 23.00hrs: Highlighted programme from the Odyssey Arena featuring International matches in a world class line-up in Ireland's biggest ever kickboxing extravaganza. European Female action with Irelands Pocket Rocket, Lydia Braniff takes on Natalia Grabowska of Poland for European domination. The battle of the Celt's - WKN Heavyweight Celtic title is contended by Freddie Kinnersley of Portadown and Steve Bonner of Scotland, Aberdeen. European Super Heavyweight Thai-Boxing action with Oliver Van Dame from Germany faces Aurel Boccoci from Romania in knock out action. Andrew Grimason is in line for a crack at a European title with Farid M'Laika of Switzerland.


Saturday 29th October 00.25hrs: The concluding part of Ireland biggest ever kickboxing showcase from Belfast's Odyssey Arena which features a full International and world championship line-up.
The worlds top fighter, Mohammed SAMIR of France puts his unbeaten record on the line of an incredible 106 fights with 106 wins, can he make it 107 straight victories in World Thai boxing action against Sergio Martinez of Portugal.
Kilkenny's hard man Vinny Di Ruscio squares up with Mohamed Kodad of France in an International bout.
Gary Hamilton continues his quest to claim the undisputed champion of the world but before he can do that Yacine Mahillon of Belgium stands in his way in this International Prestige bout.
WKN Light Heavyweight British title is on the line with Neil Baxter of Belfast and Steve Nailen of Scotland in an all Celt affair.
