July News

Dear Prokick members –

Welcome to ProKick news for the month of July. We know its holiday time for a lot of our members but for the one's who are not away we have a busy month ahead with loads more planed for August and September–we’ve had a real busy six months so far. We are coming into the seventh of our ‘ProKick Says' kid events - and yes there’s lots more too. We travelled to America, Scotland and Geneva this year with lots more in store!

This month we are starting plans to get our own Prokick mini bus. This will be used for various things from - kickboxing events across the North and South of Ireland, Scotland and England. Day trips for our Prokick kids to Portrush and other places of interest, the bus will also be handy for
'Billy's Boot Camp' - taking our champions and up'n'coming fighters for training to even more difficult locations.

Other big news this month - a WKN Kickboxing delegation to meet the President of Ireland..More on this later.

Some dates for your diary:

July 10 - Monday will be the last night of training before the gym closes for the July holidays. No need to panic because we are only closed for three days - there will be no class Monday the 10th at 6pm. However the 7pm class is open for all levels. Beginners class on as normal at 8pm.
For one week only!

July 11 - The gym will be closed from Tuesday 11th and will re-open Friday 14th

July 16 - Instructors meeting 4pm Sunday July 16. Anyone who has completed or partly finished the instructors course are asked to attend. Please confirm attendance in advance.

July 27 - A new six week beginners course starts Thursday at 6pm - if you are interested in getting started simply call 028 9065 1074 to enrol for the class. If you want to know a little more, here's the most ask questions FAQ's click here.

July 29 - Its Kids competition time - The next installment of ‘PROKICK SAYS’ children’s competition day has been moved to a Saturday for the first time the event will start at 11am on Saturday the 29th July at the Prokick Gym in Belfast. We would like to see a record attendance for this event.
Over 30 underage talents take part in each of the monthly events which are aimed at improving fitness, discipline and co-ordination. The fun day also gives young kickboxers an opportunity to experience competition using their martial- art skills. Check out our last six months competition games. As a special bonus for the young kickboxers who have took part in all the Prokick Says competitions this year, Prokick are planning a day trip to Portrush. More to come on this.

July 30 - Is the date of our next grading for yellow and Orange belts only - for Adults. We have a special day for our ProKick kids, we will notify everyone soon, sorry for the short notice change.
Adults starting 2pm No children - Make sure you are here on time and that you have already put your name down with your instructor at least one week before.

July 31 - Billy's Boot Camp starts back just in time to help our new fighters get whipped into shape for August 20th in Ards and Scotland 27th.

Instructors first aid course end of July please submit your names two weeks in advance. The course is free of charge - this is taken care of by Prokick.
