The long wait was finally over as Northern Ireland's top Kickboxing name hit Lurgan. A brand new gym was the venue ‘Well-fit’ in Annesborough industrial estate.
Excited martial art and fight fans were treated to their first kickboxing lesson by ProKick's head coach and former professional four weight world champion, Billy Murray.

Well-Fit owner Stevie McGuigan wanted to provide kickboxing classes that matched those within the ProKick HQ in Belfast and the other Prokick clubs across the country.
"We have been inundated with calls just because Billy was bringing his style of kickboxing ‘ProKick’ classes here; it has been incredible the amount of people want kickboxing classes by the man himself."

There are a mixture of classes at Well-Fit

The owner Mr McGuigan decided to build 'Well-Fit' because he saw that Lurgan was short of an inclusive membership-only health, fitness and well-being club. He added: "I set out to develop a club in Lurgan where anyone of any ability can come and exercise at their own pace, with their own personal trainer in a fun and friendly environment."
Murray was keen to bring the kickboxing to the Craigavon area.
  "We didn't have any in County Armagh and after meeting Stevie, I liked his ideas for 'Well-Fit' and his thoughts on where ProKick could fit within it."' Well-Fit' will be a class above other similar gyms and I'm delighted that ProKick is involved." The former world champion added,
“The response has been great on the first night; I always knew the interest was big in the area. Our Belfast gym gets so many enquiries from County Armagh. And who knows we might find our next world champion from Northern Ireland right here at ‘Well-Fit’”
