Unfortunately for Rafal in the closing seconds of the session, twisted his knee. He is normally the quiet one in the class but his banshee wailing were heard in his homeland of Portugal.
It was quite worrying, however after he was carried out and iced down, got medical attention from hospital he was sent packing as all was okay. better safe than sorry.
Level 2 sparring, which will teach aspects of low leg kickboxing as well as advanced ring craft will be open for registration on Wednesday night after the final session of the 6 week course.
The contact level will be exactly the same throughout as it was in level 1 and the emphasis is on techinque not brawn.
This class is just a sparring class NOT a fighters class and is designed for the kickboxing enthusiast who wants to step up another level and have a sparring session with the understanding that it is in a controlled environment and a class for non competitors - IMPORTANT, if anyone wishes to become a competitor please talk with your instructor.
The class starts from 6pm - 7.00 pm and takes place at Prokick HQ, Wilgar Street.
(Competitors please stick to fighter classes only`)

oh 2 things i forgot to mention
1. Mr Murray commenting on the kick i received saying it was one of the most powerful he has seen in his career and i think it was mentioned also that even the more hardened career fighter could not have got up from it, but i did.
la la la la la la…... what !!!
2. i pity crazychicks hubby, well you have to guys, when it was her turn in the ring…wow everytime she landed a punch or kick she would scream her husbands name, and things like, toilet seat always up, towels on the floor etc..
that old think of something that makes you mad process must work…
her poor opponent..
Good on ya christine..

Ok guys, what a night, im on a high right now, im buzzing of my head with total extreme adrenaline and pride, yeah you heard it pride..
The DVDS gonna be a blinder, Well done guys, you all should be proud of yourselves, you fought well, respected your opponents and had an amazing night in the ring..
nOW the the other news, i got a good kick to the sternam, its were My Murray instructs us to hit, and boy did the Silent Cobra hit me there. I Felt the pain first, then i had no breath, so i went down to my knees, composed myself while in pain, then when i heard Mr Murray start the count, i got straight up again..Cos im a real hero ya see….
well not really, i just knew that i was not going to let a kick put me down, and yep i was straight back into it, no prancing around for me…
A good kick from davy, and hey if you think your gonna go into the ring and not get the odd little bit of pain then your in cloud cuckoo land.
So both my fights were high adrenalin but so much fun and yes, i was ready to do it all over again..
at least i know what that pain feels like, so guys be ready for it, it hurts..lol
Raphael hurt his leg in sparring, but it was simple sparring and it can happen..if you turn or twist the wrong way it can happen no matter were you are..
it was only a little twinge anyway, and compared to my pain, totally kindergarden..lol only kidding
he’s alright now though…
Mr Murray i think was very happy with everyones Fights and i hope we can all watch the DVD and understand our techniques more and how we can improve..
SO Here it is

ok first of all harry ? HARRY ! who the heck is harry..lol
Anyway here goes week 5 of our sparring class..
Mr Murray enters the room, we all pay our respect, he then says ok guys remember always be aware of the unexpected.
SPRINT !!!!!
and that was it for a while, non stop sprinting, star jumps, press ups,sit ups and circuits…..
yep definatly be aware of the unexpected, but as our fitness increases we better understand our limits…
then we shadow boxed and sparred as per normal, except this time we took it in turns to enter the ring, take it up a notch or 2 and go for it…and i loved it…....i mean really really loved it..
Thanks guys you are all becoming very proficient in your abiltiies and we are learning from each other…learning our mistakes and respect for our sparring partners…
look at me, wow..you can see my pics here of action in the ring, ill label them with (thats me)..but just look, theres me in the ring sparring with another kick boxer..
had i ever thought i would be there, well to be honest no, never..but i am, i joined prokick and never looked back..
Mr Murray has shown everyone of us, time and patience and taken us on a super journey to whatever we aim to acheive…
i feel so part of prokick and its values, ive accomplished alot with so much more to do…
Sparring to night was just excellent, the guys were in top form, ready for action and i think we all had a very fast paced, adrenalin filled training session,,
Next week we are being filmed for a DVD showing our skills and of course maybe a few errors..lol
Next class, tomorrow thursday night,Cant wait..
Many thanks to the class and of course HARRY Murray, Whoops sorry, Mr Murray.
whos harry anyway…(u had 2 b there)
