Unfortunately for Rafal in the closing seconds of the session, twisted his knee. He is normally the quiet one in the class but his banshee wailing were heard in his homeland of Portugal.
It was quite worrying, however after he was carried out and iced down, got medical attention from hospital he was sent packing as all was okay. better safe than sorry.
Level 2 sparring, which will teach aspects of low leg kickboxing as well as advanced ring craft will be open for registration on Wednesday night after the final session of the 6 week course.
The contact level will be exactly the same throughout as it was in level 1 and the emphasis is on techinque not brawn.
This class is just a sparring class NOT a fighters class and is designed for the kickboxing enthusiast who wants to step up another level and have a sparring session with the understanding that it is in a controlled environment and a class for non competitors - IMPORTANT, if anyone wishes to become a competitor please talk with your instructor.
The class starts from 6pm - 7.00 pm and takes place at Prokick HQ, Wilgar Street.
(Competitors please stick to fighter classes only`)

Hey people that fitness test was nothing to what you would experience in the ring, you need to be unbelievably superfit. I recommend lots of spin classes ...L.O.L (free guest passes on the way) & circuits, running & more running. Blood, sweat & tears is the only way.
I agree with you mark we’re all there to learn from each other so lets get stuck in & work together.
The sparring course is fantastic I’m absolutely loving it & everyone else seems to be too.

hey ricky, who was that guy hoping to be rocky balboa!! i learned absolutly nothing from him, he was just interested in closing you down and hitting, heads down..really frustrated me, we are there to learn..but you learn nothing like that.
so if any of the sparring guys are reading, its a time to learn, not see how good you are, the rings for that one..if thats your thing, so learn now and go for it later.
im not saying anyone gets hurt, its simply hard to learn when sparring with someone who just wants to hit and not learn about style or technique.
but im sure we will all learn in due course of how to sparr, we are still in the beginning stages, but im still loving it, no ones gonna put me off, except maybe Billy’s Fitness tests..
what a killer..lol
