Unfortunately for Rafal in the closing seconds of the session, twisted his knee. He is normally the quiet one in the class but his banshee wailing were heard in his homeland of Portugal.
It was quite worrying, however after he was carried out and iced down, got medical attention from hospital he was sent packing as all was okay. better safe than sorry.
Level 2 sparring, which will teach aspects of low leg kickboxing as well as advanced ring craft will be open for registration on Wednesday night after the final session of the 6 week course.
The contact level will be exactly the same throughout as it was in level 1 and the emphasis is on techinque not brawn.
This class is just a sparring class NOT a fighters class and is designed for the kickboxing enthusiast who wants to step up another level and have a sparring session with the understanding that it is in a controlled environment and a class for non competitors - IMPORTANT, if anyone wishes to become a competitor please talk with your instructor.
The class starts from 6pm - 7.00 pm and takes place at Prokick HQ, Wilgar Street.
(Competitors please stick to fighter classes only`)

Well Last nights class was great.
Mr Murray said he was happy with everyones level 1 abilities and decided to move into the 2nd level in more detail, which was great, although the right take through kick has left many of us trying hard to get it..i for one have not got it..but as with everything taught so far..i will.
I now realise that a lot of the stuff we have already learnt has been second level, i thought it was all level 1, so its great to understand and perform what you have been taught in such a short period..
well to me its a lot, 3 months now and still loving it, honing whats taught and attempting many new if not unusual moves..well thats what they feel like when first performed but as we practice them more they really do feel very natural..
i only have 1 important question though…..???
WERE IS OUR SNOW ???

Hey everyone !
Just wanted to say im glad yous are alll enjoying the sparring class. I originally signed up for this sparring class but had to drop out at the last minute becasue of school commitments ! (GCSE year) :( Unfortunatly havnt been to my sylabus classes for a while for the same reason ! But… I have decided to make sure i go this coming week !
I have been to a beginers sparring class before though and it is very good fun. I also had the problem of the fellas that hit too hard, they must lurk in every class ! (I would definitley recommend it)
Well anyway have fun for the remainder of your sparring lessons !
