The UCC Bad Boy Paul Dube will also be on the card and will bring his fury in the UCC ring where he will face young lion Robin Moulton. Dube says he will surprise everybody with his ground skills but he is looking for a KO in his UCC debut. WARRIOR'S CUP EXPLODES WITH TOP MUAY THAI MATCHES
On Saturday, September 9th, 2000 the UCI Bren Center in Irvine, CA will host the inaugural show of the Warrior's Cup of America. Promoted by Lowkick productions, the fights will be contested under California Muay Thai rules with some fights sanctioned by the World Kickboxing Association (WKA). The main event features a super showdown between 6 time world kickboxing champion (in three different weight divisions) Danny "Hard as" Steele (USA), 45-5, against Thai legend Coban Lookchaomesaithong. Coban, who is 33, is best remembered for winning the prestigious Lumpinee stadium (Thailand's top Muay Thai venue) championship SEVEN TIMES, his four epic battles with Dutch Muay Thai superstar Ramon Dekker and a career that boasts over 190 fights. The co-main events including Maurice Travis from (USA) versus Emanuel N'Toh (Manu) from France (both World Muay Thai Council, WMTC, world champions), Ben Garcia (USA) against Richard Kostuck (USA) as well as bouts featuring Duane "Bang" Ludwig and Walter "Sleeper" Michelowski. Coming fresh on the heels of the K-1 USA show in Las Vegas promoters Stephen Quadros and Jason Luevano are more than optimistic about the public's embracing the resurging standup sport. Quadros states, "This card has to potential to be the greatest night in American kickboxing history." K- 1 RETURNS TO VEGAS!

Saturday, August 5th, K-1 USA 2000 will be held at the world famous Bellagio Casino Resort! This event will determine who will represent the STARS & BARS in JAPAN and compete for the $500,000 prize money!
For those of you unfamiliar with what K-1 is, this is the world's most prestigious kickboxing event for heavyweight fighters only in the main events. It originated in Japan and to to be the champion you must win three bouts in one night. K-1 events in Japan sometimes draw more than 50,000 people per event and is more than just a fight card.
The American card will feature Nick Blomgren, Ben Garcia, Tommy Glanville, Dale Jacoby and Dewey Cooper to just name a few. Alex and Cung will be featured under cards. Don't miss it!

On the 8th of September in Bulgaria, Varna. The WKN will sanction some titles on a WBC boxing card An Intercontinental WBC title is on the line with world rated N° 7 WBC Bruno Wartelle, Wartelle has defended his WBC Intercontinental 4 times now and is looking for a strait 5 out of 5 the WBC Champion Wartelle opponent has not been announced but is expect to name his challenger soon. WKN man Stephane Cabrera is in Bulgaria now to finalise the Boxing and the kickboxing matches this will be the first Kickboxing/Boxing event in Bulgaria. There is speculation that two times world kickboxing champion Mohamand Samir will make the cross over to Pro ranks in conventional boxing. Kickboxing - Gallina Guimisla, Bulgaria will challenge for a WKN full-contact title.

This year's JKD Camp with Rick Faye is scheduled for August 12 - 15 Details as follows:
Pete Hetrick's Wisconsin Martial Arts Camp with Rick Faye: JKD, Kali, Jun Fan, Thai Boxing and Grappling Arts with world renowned martial arts instructor RICK FAYE.

Again this year the camp will be held at Camp Lake Owen in Cable, Wisconsin. The camp features 3 training sessions daily (up to 27 hours of training), a complete food service, sleeping cabins and a fully equipped lake front (water ski boats, canoes, beaches, rope swing, etc), pool table and more. The martial arts equipment includes completely padded floors, heavy bags, boxing ring, a wooden dummy and plenty of training space (In & out of doors). All levels of students are welcome. A great vacation spot!

We will leave Saturday morning, arrive after lunch, register, and have time at the lake and 2 training sessions w/ Rick. Sunday and Monday will each have 3 training sessions. Tuesday we will leave late afternoon after 2 training sessions, lunch and lake time to return home. The drive is an easy, scenic 3 hours from Minneapolis. Dates: Aug 12 - 15 Times: Saturday - Tuesday afternoon. Cost: $340 .

Britians to names - Tim Izli "Quicksilver" & Cengiz C Dervis "Hawk" have joined forces. Their new venture and mission is set to raise the profile and standards of Kickboxing in the UK. Already they have lined up four shows at the Hammersmith Town Hall, London W6.
The first show starts on 10th November 2000, 2nd, Saturday 17th 3rd , in February 2001, the 4th Saturday 12th May 2001 and finally Saturday 6th October 2001. After theses there will be other prestigious events announced.
Cengiz who is in the process of spearheading a state of the art 10,000sq ft health club called KX in SW7,South Kensington due to open in early 2001, is very excited about the venture, but doesn't want to give to much away, "If your serious about the sport then either contact Me, Tim or the GKFO". Our plans are all honest hard work, but with real purpose and direction, between us we have the experience at all levels, the commitment and passion to succeed.
Meanwhile the GKFO are proud to announce that renowned Jeweller/Designer Helen Turner has been commissioned and is in the process of working on the new title belts which will be shown later this year.(Nov)

All the Thai fighters are manage by Mr. Songchai Ratanasuban and fight out of the world famous stadium - Lumpini.



Results in brief:
First fight was WAKO World Champion 50,9 kg Dmitry (Tornado) Koren after winning the first 3 rounds he lost in round 4 by KO with the knee to the body.
Second fight when Sergey (Shaman) Shimanski 55,4 kg lost in the 3rd round the same way with a knee to the body. But in the 3rd fight WAKO World Champion and IAMTF European Champion Alexey ( the Diamond) Pekarchik 57,2 kg 17 years old boy win by KO with left hook in the 2nd round . The 3 time Lumpini Champion at 31years old Karuhart Sor Supavan had no chance of making the count.
Next fight WAKO World Champion and IAMTF European Champion Evgeny (The Nail) Gvozdev 60 kg after being ahead in the first two rounds lost in the 3rd by another knee to the body Fight N 5 was very hard WAKO World Champion and IAMTF European Champion , IKF World Pro Champion Vasily ( Torero) Shish 65 kg win by points Kongdej Ratanachot this made the score Thailand 3 Russia 2 and it was down to the last match for the Russian's The last fight of the night was World IKF title at 70 kg. Dmitry ( the Shock ) Shakuta and also WAKO World Champion and IAMTF European Champion , IKF Intercontinental Champion . Shakuta start ed the fight with several strong attacks and after his strong left hook to the body Lumpini Champion Pramuenrit Sitsaeng-A-Run c ould not stand-up for 5 minutes. The match Lumpini vs Club "Sibthai-Kick Fighter" finished 3:3 this was a really great succsess . the GALA will be screened on NTV+satellite sport channel.
