Canada After several years of attempts, Calgary finally hosted it's
first outdoor fight event. Co-promoted by Mike Miles Productions
and Schanks Athletic Club, Not sure what kind of attendance to expect,
the promoters were hoping from 400 to 600 spectators. The event
drew around 400 spectators. The main event of the card featured
Toronto's Ovel Rochester (Tiger Muay Thai) battling Arashi-Do Karate's
instructor Justin Doran for the vacant WKA Canadian Superlightheavyweight
Muay Thai Title (under modifed rules - no elbow attacks and no knees
to the head). Ovel Rochester is the new owner of the WKA Canadian
Superlightheavyweight Muay Thai Title.

Thai Boxing Acadmey On Sunday 12th August
K-Star Thai Boxing Acadmey will be hosting a Shoot fighting/Vale
Tudo seminar. The Instructor will be Gerard Coville from Cambridge
Free Fighting. Gerard is an excellent teacher and a fantastic fighter
some of his achievements include: -WMTO British Super lightweight
Thai Boxing Champion he also fought European Champ Julian Howell.
He has trained in Judo for 18 years. In his Shoot fighting and Vale
Tudo career he is/was Complete Fighting Challenge four man tournament
champion in Vale Tudo. Fought on all Lee Hasdell's 'Night of the
Samurai' shows including fights against the French Vale Tudo Champ
Matthew Nicourt and British Vale Tudo champion Matt Evans. We expect
a great demand for this seminar, so book early to avoid disappointment.

knocked out Rambo-Jiw Dongolf-Service in the 4 th round. Attachai
threw his single left kick to his opponent's neck Rambo-Jiw droped
to the canvas and the fight was called a halt. Attachai finally
gained revenge after his earlier loss to Rambo-Jiw. Attachai weighed
130 lbs. and Rambo-Jiw 132 lbs. 7. "The 8th Mitsubishi L-200 Strada
Tournament" first round in group B: Petchwaew-Wao Muangbua-Khao
beat Chomkitti Por.Apichart on points. ( 130 lbs.)

Kickboxing From Portugal
Nuno Ferreira, promoted his first WKN even in Lisbon, Portugal.
He had a full international fight card, with fighters from France,
Ireland, Russia & Finland. Nuno is the latest promoter to join the
WKN team, and has already traveled with his fighters to put Portugal
on the International map.

Prokick's
Glen Kilpatrick flew out to Portugal on Friday past, to defend his
newly won European Title. The event which was fully founded and
supported by the Coimbra City Council. Kilpatrick faced Portugal's
Hugo Melo (Double Portuguese Champion) in an outdoor event, which
was part of an annual city festival. Unfortunately the Belfast man
Lost the bout after contorlling the fight throughout. In round three
Kilpatrick connected with a hard right roundhouse kick which floored
his Portuguese challenger. However, all the judges and the referee
believed it to be an illegal blow below the belt and gave Hugo almost
thirty seconds of recovery time. In the next round Glen himself
went down after a blistering right hand from Melo. The doctors were
straight into the ring to make sure the Belfast man was ok. After
a couple of minutes they let him stand were Kilpatrick immediately
congratulated his opponent the new WKN European Champion. (more
